How much does a new deck cost in Kalispell?

Composite or wood — which is better here?

Composite costs more up front and less over time; it won’t need staining and it holds up well to snow and sun. Cedar and other natural woods cost less initially, look and feel warmer, and need refinishing every few years. We’ll show you both and let you decide.

Who handles the permit for my deck?

We do. We will find out what your deck needs, file the paperwork, and follow it through to approval — it is not something you have to chase down.

How long does a deck take to build?

Most residential decks take somewhere between a few days and a few weeks of on-site work once materials are in hand. Design, permitting, and material lead times happen before that, so the earlier you start, the better your odds of enjoying the deck this season.

When is the best time of year to build?

Spring through fall is prime building season in the valley, which means the calendar fills up early. Winter and early spring are the best time to plan and get on the schedule — by the time the ground thaws you’re ready to break ground instead of waiting in line.

Can you replace or repair my existing deck?

Yes. We repair, reframe, and re-deck existing structures, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a repair makes sense or whether you’d be better off rebuilding.
